Maritime Terminal
For the supply of Raw Materials and the dispatching of the various Finished Products from Repsol YPF's Industrial Complex in Tarragona there are Marine Facilities situated 15 Km away from the Refinery, between Tarragona and Salou, whose 'umbilical cord' is formed by a rack of pipes which allow the various products to be moved backwards and forwards.
These facilities can be divided into three large geographical areas:
- Storage Park.
- Deballasting and liquid gas area.
- Jetty and Monobuoy.
Pipelines
The refinery is linked by pipelines to the Terminal Tanks Field. It also has direct pipe links to numerous local industrial facilities including DOW CHEMICAL, REPSOL CHEMICAL & ASESA.
Terminal Storage Facilites
Raw material and product storage facilities comprise 4 crude oil tanks with a capacity of 350,000 m3 and 20 intermediate and finished product tanks with a capacity of 580,300 m3.
Quality management
The Repsol YPF refinery holds a current certificate from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance attesting to its compliance with standard UNE EN ISO 9001:2000, applicable to “oil refining operations, including design and development, for the obtaining of all its products, with a process based management approach and full technical support from all departments”.
