Scope

These regulations are to be observed by all personnel on visiting Vessels, visitors to the Terminal area, ship's crew members, and Governmental agencies, e.g. Customs - Immigration - Police, etc...

Galley stoves and othe cooking equipment

The use of galley stoves and other cooking equipment shall be permitted only if all fire regulations are followed and no hazard exists.

Stores handling

Terminal will not allow to go stores over the jetty side.

The stores have to be delivered by barge and swung onboard using ship's crane.

Movement of tugs and other craft

During the loading/discharging or transferring from one compartment to another, NO CRAFT shall be allowed alongside a Vessel unless approval has been given by Port Authority, the Terminal Representative and agreed by Master.

When tugs are alongside assisting a Vessel, all cargo hatches must be closed irrespective of the type of petroleum which is or has been carried, unless all cargo tanks are gas-free.

Vehicular traffic

Under no circumstances will other emergency vehicular traffic be permitted on the jetty, unless approval has been given by the Terminal.

Washing cargo tanks

No tank washing or gas-freeing is permitted while the Vessel is in berth, unless approval has been given by the Terminal Representative.

Blowing tubes

Funnel uptakes and boiler tubes must not be blown while the Vessel is at dock or its approaches.

General lighting

During darkness, the areas of main deck, cargo manifolds, the sea around the Vessel and the access area to the tanker, will be well and safely illuminated.

Shore/ship communications

TRAFFIC PORT CONTROL: Permanent watch service on VHF channels: 13 & 16.
 
TARRAGONA PILOT STATION: Permanent watch service on VHF channel: 12 & 14.
 
TUGBOAT OF STAND-BY: Permanent watch service on VHF channel: 16 & 14.
 
REPSOL TERMINAL CONTROL ROOM: 

• Permanent watch, VHF channels: 10.
• Portable private radio, placed at Jetty Platform Operator. 
• Also the Terminal and the Vessel can establish another way of permanent communication using an agreed VHF channel.
